As I continue my tour of American-made guitar manufactures, I had the chance in 2010 to spend time at the Martin Factory & Museum in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. The pictures are of the instruments in the museum (no pictures allowed in the factory).

There are two buildings in Nazareth, PA representing the Martin Guitar company. The main plant is situated at 510 Sycamore Street and the old building is located on 10 W. North Street. The former is the actual factory location and where the tour begins. The latter is where The Guitar Maker’s Connection resides. In fact, if you need parts, or a full guitar kit, that is the place to purchase these items.

Plan a full day to visit these buildings, there is so much to see and appreciate so take the time to do so!

You will enjoy the foyer of the main plant where several Martin acoustic guitars hang on the front wall just begging to be test driven! And, there is also a small room off to the side where a few acoustic/electric instruments may be played.

Be sure to call ahead with larger groups and make sure to note the tour days and times.

If you are a Martin owner you must make this trip. It is the Mecca of guitar factories in the US and you’ll enjoy every minute of your time at the Martin Guitar factory!
